13 10 2008
The School of Business recently announced the formation of the Business Student Advocates, a group of McMurry students who will serve as representatives of the School of Business at functions that occur both on and off-campus.
Members of the group were chosen by the business faculty on criteria such as: classroom performance; campus and community involvement; acceptance of responsibility; individual initiative; and ability to function as a member of a team. Each of those elements represent critical factors in business success.
Business Student Advocates will participate in various activities, including:
-
Student Preview Days;
-
planning for business speakers and events;
-
School of Business Advisory Board meetings;
-
assisting with prospective students;
-
and contributing to a School of Business blog or website.
The following students comprise the initial group of Business Student Advocates: Keely Acklin; Peter Adams; Stephen Bartee; Kristin Bray; Tyler Caskey; Karla Chapa; Gayla Fullerton; Kelly Modisett; Katy O’Shields; Jorge Rodriguez Avila; Sean Slavin; Brandy Smith; Corey Werner; and Diedra Wheeler.
