Drs. Heidi DiFrancesca (Biology) and Pam Veltkamp (Chemistry) are holding a preliminary meeting to gauge student interest in a Women in Science club.

The first meeting will be held in S226 Thursday, February 4^th at noon.

If you are a woman, interested in science, and interested in a community of like-minded persons, come join us!

The January student preview focused on athletics, but a number of students stopped by the SNCS table for information and a chat with the faculty.

Faculty members on hand to greet students and their families, and to answer questions about the science programs at McMurry  included Drs. Shin and Veltkamp (Chemistry), Drs. DiFrancesca and Sharp (Biology), Dr. McCoun (Math), Mr. Brozovic (Computer Science), and Dr. Bykov (Physics).

Dr. Ralph Turner, physician and McMurry alumnus also put in an appearance!

We have several more previews to come, so we hope to meet more students who are interested in the natural and computational sciences and student research.  Ala Cumba!
