Last week Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPW) announced new recommendations requiring researchers to wear PPE when handling wild animals (to limit the transmission of viruses from humans to wildlife). This past weekend the Brant Scouts held a trapping weekend. To comply with the new TPW recommendations, Dr. Brant provided each of his students with the highest quality face masks he could find, pink masks with zebras, sewn specially by Patty Brant (his mother). The Brant Scouts caught & processed 20 mice each day and we think we can safely say no mice contracted any viruses from the Brant Scouts!
