Tryout for the Talons Dance Team

Do you love to dance? Whether you were part of a team in high school or just have a passion
for dance, the Talons Dance Team is looking for enthusiastic students to join! Tryouts are on
April 26th at 9 am, and registration is open now.

Since I could walk, dance has always been a big part of my life. I was a part of the dance team
at my middle school, but most of elementary to high school I danced at Inspire Dance Studio in
San Antonio, Texas. Dancing at a studio compared to a drill team in school is very different.
Almost all year we would focus on technique and competition season. Leaving my studio when I
graduated High school was hard for me because I thought it meant the end of dance, which is
something I love to do.

I did not expect to dance in college, but when the opportunity to try out came up over the
summer, I took it! Being a part of the Talons this school year has been an amazing experience,
and I have no regrets at all. The team was re-started, so we currently have a small number of
girls, but it has allowed us to become super close! We performed at some pep rallies and
Basketball games this year, but next year, we plan to be more involved in Football and
Basketball season.

I always look forward to practice and being able to do what I love with my friends. I am super
excited for next year, and I highly suggest that people try out if they are interested in dance!
