Frightful Fun for Everyone in Denton, Texas

Issue 44: October 29, 2025

Hello, fellow War Hawks! How is everyone feeling on this delightfully crisp late October day? We’ve successfully navigated through our Midterms, and now that we’ve seen our grades, I have every confidence that they’ll be amazing after finals! I know each of you has what it takes to succeed. If you’re craving a break from the routine of university life, I highly recommend taking a three-hour journey to the vibrant and charming city of Denton.

Denton is currently enveloped in the enchanting spirit of Halloween! The town square, city streets, and even the interiors of its quaint buildings are festooned with whimsical decorations that capture the festive essence of the season for 31 days of Halloween fun! It’s no wonder that Denton has earned its reputation as the “Halloween Capital of Texas” over the years—this place is truly a sight to behold!

There’s an array of events lined up that cater to all tastes and preferences. From spine-tingling ghost stories shared in the atmospheric embrace of a cemetery to delightful coffee crawls and adventurous scavenger hunts, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely afternoon or an exhilarating night out, Denton has you covered.

Don’t miss the chance to visit the delightful Gelato shop, Two Gentlemen of Verona. This charming little spot boasts an impressive variety of flavors—my personal favorite is the peach cobbler, which is so authentic it felt like a slice of home!

As you wander through Denton, you’ll encounter captivating pieces of artwork scattered throughout the city. From stunning 3D sidewalk art that seems to leap from the ground to whimsical tentacles playfully emerging from the cracks of brick buildings, there’s an abundance of creativity waiting to be discovered. It’s an experience that promises to ignite your imagination and create lasting memories! So, stop in for a spell and see what happens. Maybe you will find something bewitching or perhaps enchanting gifts? Who knows!

Stay safe, War Hawks!
