Take Time to Relax this Thanksgiving

Issue 45: November 12, 2025

Greetings, fellow War Hawks! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we can almost taste the delicious feasts that await us and enjoy the precious days off! While we hustle and prepare for the challenges of Finals week, let’s not forget that the turkey demands its moment to shine! Everywhere we go, we hear the cheerful notes of Christmas songs echoing through the air, and the vibrant decorations are steadily filling the aisles of our favorite stores. But fear not—it’s not quite the first week of December just yet! Let’s take a moment to savor this festive transition and focus on what truly matters in the approaching days.

I recently heard from a professor that we are down to just three full weeks left in this semester! Can you believe it? It feels a bit daunting, and before we know it, winter break will be upon us, bringing a much-needed vacation from our studies. For those of you graduating in December, you can breathe a bit easier since you won’t have to scramble to sign up for spring classes like the rest of the returning students. Look at us; we’re almost at the finish line!

On a different note, as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, keep in mind that classes will only be held on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. This is the perfect opportunity to travel and spend quality time with family, reconnect with friends, or simply enjoy a well-deserved break, even if Thanksgiving isn’t your cup of tea. Whether you choose to celebrate with a festive feast or treat it like any other day, it’s all about what makes you happy. Enjoy whatever way you decide to embrace this time! I know I will be eating turkey, and I will not be thinking about the history behind it all while I chow down on some devilled eggs. Other than that, make sure to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, for some of us, it is a tradition! Stay fun and stay safe, War Hawks!
