The beginning…

During the months of August and September research teams were formed which focused on studying the effects of bovine semen post thaw. We started our journey at the end of August by reviewing research topics, going over our syllabus, and discussing course expectations. Next, Mrs. Terry taught us how to find scientific research articles, helped us understand the basics of a literature overview, and helped us further our knowledge over artificial insemination (AI) of cattle and thawing of bovine semen.

Diving in…

During the rest of September, we utilized the Cisco Campus library to find research articles, then each team member was responsible for leading a group discussion over the article of their choice. In addition, we worked together to research different AI company protocols and created a database.
