Well, this isn’t exactly the kind of thing you would shout out loud at a restaurant or on an airplane… However, when you are Team Cisco Sustainability and you project is centered around making a biofermentor to capture biogas from manure, it takes on special meaning. Here’s a report from Dr. C:
“I have attached a picture of the first glimpse of biogas collecting in the plastic container above the water level. Some brown liquid has been pushed into the collection tube as the gas evolved.
“It has taken 3-5 days for the entire process (literature reports vary considerably from a few weeks to several months). I think Fresh manure a week or so old, is particular potent!”
So there you have it! The Cisco project is well on its way to generating results!
