Expect stories soon about the faculty workshops going on this week. Yesterday way field techniques for small mammals and invertebrates. Faculy traveled to Abilene State Park and retrieved traps set the day before, and then spent the afternoon analyzing the results and discovering ways to translate the trapping strategies into classroom activities. Today the second workshop will cover ArcGIS and how this powerful tool can be used for a data collection and mapping and analysis for a wide variety of fields of study.
This is my quick overview – expect stories from the faculty conducting the workshops and action photos of the faculty at work in the days to come.
