McMurry Esports Continues Acts of Service with Sixth Annual 24-Hour Charity Stream
Another winter means another Extra-Life charity stream for our McMurry Esports program. One of McMurry’s core values is “Service as the Measure of Life” and no program exemplifies this like our generous and growing Esports program led by Coach Matt Tarpley. This will be McMurry’s sixth year in the Extra-Life organization; the team raised $2,476 last winter. The stream will be live next Friday on McMurry Esports Twitch page (https://www.twitch.tv/mcmurry) and will offer many opportunities to donate.
Extra-Life is a gaming charity program meant to help provide charity support opportunities for the generous members of the gaming world. This program sends every dollar donated to a chosen Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
The stream is planned to start no later than 11 a.m. Friday, November 22nd, and will last 24 straight hours. There are 14-16 content blocks planned, many of which I will be participating in! Blocks will include games like Catan, large group games, a generational chat between different age groups, and many more exciting events. McMurry Esports has currently raised $230 and is looking to continue to grow this number as we continue to uphold one of McMurry’s core values. And if you give yourself to the hungry
And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday.
