McMurry Title V personnel joined their counterparts at Cisco College to celebrate the opening of the greenhouse today.
As part of the development of an undergraduate research program at Cisco College, Biology Professor Justin Ceniceros has provided oversight and expertise as his dream of a greenhouse on the Cisco College campus in Cisco, Texas has become a reality.
Students are already starting and propagating plants in a variety of ways, in preparation for their project to create a natural grass area on the slope leading to the greenhouse. They will propagate the plants from native sources as well as seeds stored within their own botany collection.
This is a tremendous project, and sure to engage student researchers for a long time. We applaud Mr. Ceniceros for his obvious passion for plants and student research!
