Erica Medina, Title V STEM/Pre-Health Career Specialist

On October 8, at 12 pm in the room S106, the Society of Physics Students hosted Title V Career Specialist, Erica Medina, as she conducted a student career-training workshop.  She introduced students to Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs), resume building, and writing a cover letter.

Participating in Internships and Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) opportunities is a great way for undergraduate students to develop important professional and technical skills.  Ms. Medina will provide tools for discovering internship/REU opportunities as well as navigating the application process.  Here are some excellent resources if you are considering an REU application:

Additionally, this session covered two of the most important components of any application process- the resume and cover letter!
