The McMurry Pre-Health Professionals Club is living up to its service mission this holiday season.

The McMurry Pre-Health Professionals club was organized in Fall 2020 for all students interested in pursuing careers in the health care field. The purpose of the club is to build relationships among students and alumni in similar career paths. The relationships being built will allow club members to gain knowledge and guidance for their future plans. Additionally, the club seeks to form new friendships and connections with community members through acts of service.

Under the leadership of Senior, Cassie Garcia, the Pre-Health Professionals Club did a sock drive amongst its members. In a previous club meeting, it was shared that one of the most sought-after items during the holiday season for homeless shelters is socks. Instead of paying dues this fall semester, club members decided they would each use the funds to purchase socks for those in need.

All socks donated will be delivered to Salvation Army.
